Matthew 2:6 – “And you, O Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for from you shall come a ruler who will shepherd my people Israel.”
Bethlehem, though small, was chosen to be the birthplace of the King of Kings. Reflect today on how God often chooses the humble and lowly to accomplish His will. How can you open your heart to God’s work in your life this Advent, trusting that He can use you, even in your smallness, to bring the love of Christ to others?
Lord, help me to trust that You can work in my life, even in my smallness and weakness. May I be like Bethlehem, ready to welcome the King of Kings into my heart.
