Matthew 5:4 – “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.”
Mary’s sorrows remind us of the beatitude: “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.” Reflect today on how God brings comfort to those who mourn, and how Mary, who experienced great sorrow, offers her comfort to you. How can you turn to Mary in your mourning, trusting that she will lead you to the comfort of her Son?
Immaculate Heart of Mary, help me to turn to you in my mourning, trusting that you will comfort me and lead me to the loving presence of your Son, Jesus.
