Isaiah 25:8 – “He will swallow up death forever; and the Lord God will wipe away tears from all faces, and the reproach of His people He will take away from all the earth.”
God promises to wipe away every tear and swallow up death forever. Reflect today on the comfort this promise brings, especially for the souls in Purgatory who await the end of their purification. How can you offer your prayers for these souls, trusting that God will bring them into the fullness of joy and eternal life, where death and sorrow will be no more?
Lord, I pray for the souls in Purgatory, trusting in Your promise to wipe away their tears and bring them into the joy of eternal life, where death and sorrow are no more.
